Eyeglasses at EyeLove Family Eye Care & Optical

In the modern world of optometry, people who suffer from vision problems such as refractive errors have more corrective options than ever to choose from, from specialized contact lenses to state-of-the-art LASIK surgery. But that doesn't mean you should overlook the tried-and-true solutions provided by a good pair of eyeglasses. Eyeglasses not only correct your vision; they can also enhance your looks and personal fashion style. EyeLove Family Eye Care & Optical can fit you with the ideal glasses for your needs, from lens options to designer frames.

Choosing Lens Options for Your Eyeglasses

To some extent, your corrective prescription determines what kind of lenses your eyeglasses will require. If you have a single, basic refractive error such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism, you only need single-vision glasses which correct for that prescription. But if you have a condition called presbyopia as well as another refractive error, you may need multifocal lenses such as bifocals, trifocals, or progressive lenses. These lenses offer more than one corrective field so you can see clearly at all distances.

Lens thickness and material are other considerations. High-index lenses are especially thin, lightweight, and impact-resistant. The most impact-resistant material is polycarbonate, which makes it a smart choice for children or anyone who plays sports or works in hazardous environments. But CR-39 is still an overall good choice for clarity and cost-effectiveness.

You may want to finish off your lenses with certain types of coatings or other options. Glare-resistant, scratch-resistant, and anti-fog coatings can all turn out to be good investments. Polarized lenses cut reflected glare even further.

Frame Designs, Shapes, and Sizes

Here at EyeLove Family Eye Care & Optical, you can expect our optical shop to offer a wide range of stunning frames in a variety of styles, shapes, and colors. This important, not only to ensure your new glasses will fit properly but also for giving you the right options to suit your facial structure. A rounder face is naturally complemented by rectangular glasses, for instance, while a more angular face will benefit from a rounder frame style. Meanwhile, our team can help you select a color that goes well with your skin tone and fashion preferences. We also offer tough plastic frames for kids, sports glasses and goggles for athletes, and other specialized choices.
